The CEO of Election Commission in Gujarat, P Bharti, on Friday unveiled the virtual reality-based election Metaverse for first-time voters.
It is designed to revolutionize the voting experience of over 13 lakh first-time voters in the Lok Sabha polls scheduled to be held on May 7 in the state. The facility will also be available for first-time voters of the assembly by-polls that will simultaneously vote with the general elections.
The Metaverse is collaboratively developed by GTPL Media Group and Virtual Heights. Built using cutting-edge technology, users can seamlessly navigate the entire voting procedure, from entering the virtual polling station to casting their vote via computer or Android mobile devices.
