Tether Operations Limited, a blockchain and cryptocurrency company, of Tether stablecoin, announced the expansion of its artificial intelligence (AI), added Cointelegraph. It is believed that Tether will also recruit more talent for its AI division.
The expansion is expected to come amid concerns “over the monopolisation of AI technologies by big tech,” as per insights from a press release from Tether. The company is believed to have mentioned that its Tether Data division “is stepping forward to champion transparency and privacy in AI model development,” added Cointelegraph.
“The investment in Northern Data Group will help Tether pursue AI projects by leveraging Northern Data’s highly advanced GPU and compute infrastructure, to address real-world challenges in a more objective and transparent way compared to what we have seen from the current leading companies,” Cointelegraph explained.
Furthermore, Tether is expected to engage with “the broader ecosystem through community contributions” . This engagement is expected to showcase its products and “advance the field of open AI,” Cointelegraph concluded.
