EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Because mental health should be a priority, a special event dedicated to promoting emotional well-being and self-love among youth aged 13 and above will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 20 at the Shoppes at Solana, formerly Sunland Park Mall.
The main purpose of this event, #OURLIVESMATTER Teen Summit and Fashion Show, is to provide a supportive space and resources for young people facing emotional challenges, according to a press release sent by the Shoppes at Solana.
The event will also feature professional counselors available to offer guidance and emotional support, and a variety of activities designed to foster empowerment and self-love including photo areas; makeup and hair styling stations; a snack bar; interactive games; a runway show where young people can express their talent and confidence; and music with DJs Nitro and Tornado.
“Mental health is a fundamental aspect of young people’s lives, and it is crucial for them to know they are not alone,” said Brenda Reyes, the organizer of the event. “We invite all young people to join us to share, learn, and enjoy a day dedicated to promoting mental health and self-love.”
