“Boot Camp The Metaverse Evolution 2024,” a 5 Week Boot Camp starting February 1st 2024 (Black History Month). Every Thursday for 5 weeks, Prof. William Jackson will be teaching university students how the Metaverse, AI, VR, and Immersive Environments can empower the growing African student populations, how to integrate new technologies in learning, exploration, and discovery.
African students will be making a leap ahead of American and some European students even at the secondary level because of the lack of changes in traditional educational models in the USA that do not encourage digital innovation, creativity, and imagination. African secondary schools and universities see the need for their students to be empowered, encouraged, educated, and inspired to think creatively and innovatively. To empower not just the individual nation but the continent as a whole. Africa is the cradle of civilization and still empowers creativity, artistic expression and collaboration.
Using the tools of Spatial.io, ReadyPlayer.me, Sketchfab.com, WordPress.com to inspire creativity, innovation, and imagination that across Africa is already present and is seen even in NFT digital Arts collections. Look at the tapestries of African clothing, the art works of design and modeling and the textures of facial designs and creations. Africa is the cradle and foundation of Artistic creativity and design. Black History in the United States is consistently being sparked with collaborations such as this implementing and applying diverse technologies and new technologies to come and collaborate between Black Americans and Africans.
The collaboration with Zetech University & MetaverseWP shows that Blacks in the United States and African nations across the African Diaspora can and should work together collaboratively to build thought leaders, content creators and immersive innovators.
Technology allows digital connections that cross oceans, borders, boundaries, distances, and time zones.

is in Florida and starts class at 9am and 5pm in Nairobi. Even with the distances and time zones

In higher education across Africa, the Metaverse emerges as a transformative resource, offering African university students unparalleled opportunities for research and discovery. As highlighted by the World Economic Forum, “Metaverse education facilitates a dynamic and immersive learning environment that transcends geographical barriers, providing students in Africa access to global expertise and resources” WEC 2023.
In regions where traditional educational infrastructure still face challenges, the Metaverse becomes a catalyst for inclusivity, making education equal for boys and girls. Enabling students to engage with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate on global scales.Moreover, Metaverse education fosters cultural exchange and diversity, enhancing cross-cultural understanding among African students.
African students with engagement with AI, Metaverse and other tools are learning firsthand the power and influence of collaboration, cooperation and not competition. The innovative approach to “Boot Camp The Metaverse Evolution 2024” not only prepares students for a tech-driven future, but also equips them with a competitive edge in the global job market.
Using technology to harness the potential of the Metaverse, African universities can bridge educational gaps, empowering students to thrive in an interconnected world and contribute to the socioeconomic development of the continent.
William Jackson, M.Ed., World Metaverse Council – Metaverse Education Program Director and his wife Professor Aida Correa Jackson have been providing global digital workshops, trainings and Boot Camps across Africa and since 2017 have sponsored over 300 youth and teens to technology conferences. Helping to build technologically advanced and visionaries to continue to build Africa into a world leader and influencer.
“We are seeking to collaborate with educational organizations, higher education institutions to build digital partnerships for learning and creativity opportunities.”
Professor Jackson has been honored with a Board Membership with One Africa Forum based in Johannesburg, South Africa and named Director of Education and Technology. The goal is to create, support and mentor global collaborations that benefit Africa . Additional opportunities will be available for secondary and university schools to participate.
